Royal Writer Says Princess Kate Treats Prince William "Like a Fourth Child Prone to Tantrums"
It is fairly widely known at this point that Prince William has a temper; according to the Mirror, Prince William and his wife Kate are said to throw cushions at each other when they argue, and Kate, who has been with Prince William for over 20 years, deals with his so-called "emotional outbursts" She has developed a clever technique, she says.
Royal writer Tom Quinn said that Kate treats William like "a fourth child prone to tantrums." (William and Kate have Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.) Quinn says the couple has "tremendous" bickering: "We do have marital fights." It's not a perfect marriage."
And while one couple's arguments may be acrimonious, the Crown Prince and Princess are not. Their heated arguments, Quinn says, are about venting frustration by "throwing cushions, not vases, at each other."
While there are moments when they raise their voices, Quinn says, they are always restrained.
It's not just the occasional argument that makes William and Kate like us. At their engagement press conference, William revealed that he and Kate "have a great time together" and "have a great sense of humor about things."
"We are down to earth," William said in a 2010 engagement interview. She has a lot of quirks that make me laugh, and I make fun of them."
