Rita Ora's "Straight and Shiny" New Hair Inspired by Naomi Campbell

From "cherry mocha" manicures to early oats lip looks, one of the coolest things about beauty is that inspiration can come from anywhere. Still, the best place to get ideas is always from icons, and on Tuesday, October 18, Rita Ora proved that she knows exactly who to take her cues from by revealing a new hairstyle inspired by the one and only Naomi Campbell.

"I want my hair to be Naomi hair! Straight and shiny!" she captioned a video on her Instagram Story, tagging the model and her hairstylist, Rio Sridharan. In the video itself, she instructed her hairstylist to "do whatever Naomi does" and bop to Innoss'B's "Naomi Campbell" while Sreedharan did touch-ups.

"I want Naomi Campbell. Ora declared. 'You've inspired me. Sreedharan, who often works with Campbell, gave the 32-year-old blonde's hair a sleek, Naomi-like texture. Mid-part, waist-length, and pin-straight, Ora and her hairstylist couldn't help but run their hands through it.

"Honey, I'll give it to you!"

"Oh, my God! Ola exclaimed at the end of the clip. Her hair is naturally curly, so it was fun to watch Ola try new textures. She complemented this hairstyle with a very un-Naomi-like (unless we're talking Met Gala 2022) eye look: rhinestone-trimmed upper and lower lash lines and brow bones.

Yet, somehow, the hair stole the show. (I guess it didn't hurt that it was done by an actual hairdresser of inspiration.) Apparently Ora is a longtime fan of the iconic supermodel; in 2014, she said Campbell played big sister for her at Milan Fashion Week.

"Yeah, me and Naomi Campbell are like best friends ... No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. She took care of me at the [Philipp Plein] show," Ora said in the April 2014 issue of Paper Magazine, confiding that she was self-conscious around models. 'She encouraged me and showed me around the venue. Then we went to a bar for drinks, and she was really cool."
