Britney Spears Accuses Justin Timberlake of Cheating with "Another Celebrity" in Upcoming Memoir

A series of excerpts from ex-girlfriend Britney Spears' memoir, The Woman in Me, have been released. Spears was heavily accused of cheating on Timberlake (2000s lore says it eventually led to a breakup), but Spears claims that Timberlake cheated on her with "another celebrity" while they were dating. (Spears claims that Timberlake had an affair with "another celebrity" while they were dating (Spears does not name the woman, TMZ reports, because the celebrity "currently has a family member that [Spears] does not want to embarrass"). 2]Spears and Timberlake were *the* couple from 1999 to 2002, and their breakup is said to have inspired his hit song "Cry Me a River" (and accompanying music video), which led the collective world to believe that Spears was having an affair. Timberlake, to his credit, never directly accused Spears of cheating; according to TMZ, the song was a direct response to "Cry Me a River," according to Spears' writing partner. (According to TMZ, according to her songwriting partner, the song was a direct response to "Cry Me a River." Please forgive me. My weakness has caused you pain. And this song is my apology.")

Yesterday, according to another excerpt from this confessional book, Spears had an abortion while dating Timberlake in late 2000, and Spears wrote that he was "definitely not happy about the pregnancy" and "did not want to be a father."

"I agreed not to have children," she wrote.

"I don't know if that was the right decision. If it had been left to me alone, I never would have done it."

Despite these revelations, one publishing insider told Page Six that Spears' book is not a "buyout" but "a chance to tell her empowerment story, ... Nothing more," he said.

The Woman in Me will be released Tuesday.
