Gwyneth Paltrow debuted a new, more accessible beauty line.
Here's my truth: I'm a goop girl to the core. I love whatever Gwyneth Paltrow and her team are cooking up in their supposedly paleo, minimalist kitchen. So when news broke today that the brand was launching a new, accessible beauty line, I almost spit out my mushroom coffee. (Just kidding, I don't drink caffeine. I'm a Goop Girl, remember?)
The new line, called good.clean.goop, features a wide range of products that reflect Goop Beauty's existing favorites. Priced from $19.99 to $39.99, the first products promise to share the same philosophy as their sister goop Beauty products. [good.clean.goop] takes an innovative approach to classic skin care and leans toward clean hero ingredients that really work." I am very excited that those who are interested in clean beauty, or simply appreciate high quality creams and hardworking cleansers, will be able to try our new must-have line." Shared Paltrow in a press release.
The brand, which launches on October 22, is divided into two categories: beauty and wellness; the 10-piece beauty collection includes six classic skin care products (cleanser, exfoliating scrub, toner, face serum, moisturizer, and eye serum), three body care products, and a detoxifying shampoo and scalp scrub. On the wellness side, good.clean.goop will offer four supplements that work on the immune system, brain function, pleasure, and skin.
All products employ the brand's new "Good 3" formulation strategy. That is, they contain cleanical (clean ingredients with clinical performance), botanical (active ingredients derived from plants), and superfood (food-derived) ingredients. In a recent interview, Paltrow said that the line falls into the category of "masstige" (a mix of mass & prestige).
As for the Oscar winner's favorite product, she settled on the green juice-inspired Daily Juice Cleanser ($19.99). She said, "It's green, smells fresh and nice, and it lathers really well. I use it every day."
good.clean.goop went on sale Friday, October 22 at Amazon and Target.
