Did you know that Rachel McAdams wore a $10,000 wig in "Mean Girls"?
"Mean Girls" is one of the most iconic teen movies of all time.
But did you know that Rachel McAdams actually wore a blonde wig to play Regina George? No, I don't know either.
Rajiv Surendra, who played legendary mathematician and rapper Kevin Gunapur in the film, revealed this shocking tidbit when he spoke to Seventeen in 2016.
"Rachel McAdams' blonde hair is not her hair in the movie," he said when asked to share a little-known fact about "Mean Girls."
"I had a very famous wig maker in the small town of Stratford, Ontario, make me a wig out of human hair."
Slendra explained why McAdams wore the wig instead of rocking his own hair.
"I don't know if this is actually true, but I remember hearing that Rachel didn't want to bleach all her hair," he said.
"So the front bits were bleach blonde, so that was her real hair, but the wig was fake.
"I remember going into the makeup and hair trailer regularly and seeing the wigs being washed. They actually washed them, put a little shower cap kind of thing on them, hooked up a hair dryer to dry the wig, and it looked like a $10,000 wig."
As a matter of fact, I wouldn't want it any other way for Regina George. Her stylist, Chris Appleton, once revealed how much her Met Gala ponytail cost. Whew!
