Travis Kells talks about his job as Taylor Swift's substitute security guard: "I'm the protector."
Travis Kells talked about serving as Taylor Swift's substitute security guard over the weekend.
"Did you get any pushback from the actual security guard about pushing out of the way one night?" brother and New Heights podcast co-host Jason Kells asked Travis on the latest episode, citing reports that he dated Swift on Saturday night.
"Do you mind if I interrupt? Travis said.
"You're on camera, Travis," Jason teased him.
"I'm not pushing," Travis corrected.
"I put my hand on the gentleman's back to let him know I was behind him. If I had pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tasered me."Jason then joked that this was akin to pushing, but Travis stood his ground, explaining that he was just trying to let security know that he was about to open the door for Swift and that he did not need to worry about the star's safety.
"Have you ever had to do security yourself?" "When you are with Taylor, do you feel like you are the security guard?" Jason asked.
"Like being part of a team? Travis replied, "Whenever I'm on a date, I always feel like I have this sense that I'm the guy in the situation, that I'm protecting him. I think I always have that sense or self-consciousness." [Thus, Travis calls being with Swift a date.
All of this comes after sources revealed that during the SNL after-party this past weekend, "at one point, (Travis) actually told (Swift's) security guard that he could step down, like take it from here." Wow, I love this so much.
