Lily Allen's abstract manicure is museum-quality.

Simple manicures are on the rise, and for good reason. That said, every once in a while it's exceptional to come across a look that is wild, dramatic, or artistic. Lily Allen's latest nails are all of the above, and we can't stop staring (in a good way).

On Thursday, October 19, the British singer shared a photo of her latest nail art on her Instagram story. The long, square nails, each painted in a different color gradient (red to black, royal blue to black, and sky blue to black), also feature a gradient of squares, each framed by a completely unique color scheme.

The bright, abstract, colorful art recalls the mini paintings of Mark Rothko and the light installations of James Turrell, beloved by the Kardashians. Like these artists' own palettes, a vast array of hues were utilized to complete Allen's manicure. From neon greens to pale pinks to tangerines only seen at sunset, the nails capture the entire rainbow.

In another story, Allen showed the process of creating the manicure. For starters, each nail was wrapped and painted a solid color before being graded black. Most recently, at the GLAMOUR UK Women of the Year Awards (Simple is In!) ), the "Smile" singer, who wore pepper-red stiletto nails, showed no background in the photo and let the art do the talking.

She didn't even tag the artist, but Allen's nails were likely created, or at least strongly influenced, by Really Hot Nails, a Canada-based airbrush specialist. The artist, who likes the framed look, posted a nearly identical set in early September for writer, director, and production designer Adriana Marchand.

"Best ever," Marchand posted on Instagram after the set was applied.
