Prince Charles' surprising regret at his coronation last May.

King Charles' coronation last May, the first coronation in 70 years, seemed to go relatively without a hitch. At a reception at Buckingham Palace celebrating the key figures behind the scenes who made the coronation possible five months earlier, the King said he wished he had brought certain items to the coronation concert, which took place the day after the coronation at Windsor Castle on May 7. (Lionel Richie and Katy Perry headlined.)

"He said he wanted to be closer next time or bring binoculars," said Neil Walter, who was in charge of parking for the concert. (Spoiler alert: there won't be a next time, not that Her Majesty will be in attendance anyway).

On Thursday, the King, Queen Camilla, and Princess Anne hosted a reception for those involved in planning the coronation and, before that, Queen Elizabeth's funeral in September. Everyone from royal photographers to composers, government officials, and volunteers were invited and honored for their work, "People" reported.

At the reception, Walter chatted with the King, who said he felt his seat in the royal box was too far from the stage. Even though the concert was attended by 20,000 people and their seats were well back from the stage, members of the Royal Family in attendance, including the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and their two eldest sons, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, clapped along to the music, Union Jack flags, and stood up and danced with the rest of the crowd to Ritchie's performance of "All Night Long," and they seemed to have a great time.

Opera star Andrea Bocelli performed a duet of "You'll Never Walk Alone" with Bryn Terfel. Bocelli said, "The King and Queen have shown their appreciation for art and good music, which are gifts from heaven and contribute to uplifting the spirit and spreading goodness." Bocelli said, "This in itself is a reason for all of us to be excited."

Of "You'll Never Walk Alone," Bocelli said, "It is a moving, intense, evocative score, a true tribute to solidarity.
