If Kris Jenner has her way, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could make a major cameo appearance on "The Kardashians."

But for royal expert Jenny Bond, a reality show appearance would be a mistake for the Sussexes' careers and reputations.

"With the exception of Princess Eugenie, who seems to have severed all ties with the royal family, it seems inevitable that she will embrace life as a celebrity in La La Land," Bond says OK!

This royal commentator is not the first to make this point. For example, one source recently spoke of what she called the Duchess of Sussex's "Hollywood reforms" in her signing with the Tinseltown talent agency WME.

"Personally, I think it's ridiculous and rather humiliating to be on 'The Kardashians.' I think they're better than that," Bond added about the possibility of a cameo by Mr. and Mrs. Sussex.

"I can't imagine why Harry would want to invite the reality TV gaze into his life. Harry's sole purpose in attracting so much public attention, which he hates so much, would be to shine a light on a cause he holds dear."

Indeed, Prince Harry has made no secret of his dislike of media attention and has filed several lawsuits against British tabloids for invasion of privacy. For Bond, however, Princess Meghan, who famously worked as an actress in television and film before joining the royal family, seems more interested in touring the celebrity circuit.

"Princess Meghan is becoming more and more like a TV celebrity," Bond commented.

"Harry is always happier in shorts playing on the beach with his kids. But celebrity fame brings opportunities and, crucially, money."

"I'm not sure how much money he's going to make, but he's going to make it.

Harry and Meghan clearly need to earn a living now that they no longer work as royalty, and this is complicated by Spotify's recent severance of their relationship. Thus, this may be one of the reasons they are considering an appearance on a reality show.

A source previously told Bella magazine that a Sussex sighting on "The Kardashians" would be a big deal for the famous family. The source said, "Even if it's just a cameo, it's a huge win for Kris, and it's going to be very lucrative, with the business side starting to take off."

They also commented, "It's no coincidence that the Kardashians are all moving in the same circles as Meghan's new circle." As an example, the Duchess' mother, Doria Ragland, was spotted interacting with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian at a recent charity gala. Who knows how the two families will interact in the future?
