Prince Harry, fearing that Prince William and Prince Charles would not forgive him, left a second "spare" on the cutting floor.

While this is hard to imagine (given how juicy the book is), Prince Harry himself has said that when he and ghostwriter J.R. Mohlinger wrote their memoir, Spare, a lot was left out. Harry once said that he had enough material for a second memoir and admitted that he intentionally left out certain details, especially anecdotes about his brother Prince William and his father Prince Charles.

"It could have been two books, if you ask me," Harry told The Telegraph. 'The hard part was getting all the stuff down. Especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, there were things that we didn't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would forgive me."

Harry also made 50 zoom calls with Moehringer, often wondering what to leave and what not to leave. (In case you haven't read "Spare," there are only two people in the world who haven't, and Harry has a lot to reveal.)

"Royal author Dr. Ed Owens, in an episode of the podcast "Pod Save the King," said, "This story is a bit tragic, damaging to the idea of a family monarchy. This idea is a united group that embodies the best of English family life." Originally, Charles III's reign was to be centered on him, supported by two trusted aides, William and Harry. However, Harry and Meghan's decision to leave the United Kingdom in 2020 turned out to be a disaster.

After Spare and similar projects (think Netflix's Harry and Meghan docu-series), Owens said it was time to "get rid of this family story once and for all. 'We don't need to present this extended family as if it were a moral exemplar. King Charles knows firsthand that family ideals and monarchical realities seldom coincide."

And if you thought the book's 416 pages "spared" anything...
