Meghan Markle is reportedly "thrilled" to be close to signing a major new contract.
Meghan Markle, who parted ways with Spotify earlier this year, is about to sign her next big deal.
In June, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, terminated their multi-million dollar deal with Spotify." The deal was signed in 2020 to produce "programs that uplift and entertain viewers around the world" (according to the wording at the time). The series was a 12-episode podcast, "Archetypes," hosted by Meghan, in which she would sit down with artists, athletes, and experts to discuss the history of stereotypes about women.
Now Megan (and maybe "Archetypes"?) has apparently signed a new deal with Spotify competitor and Amazon-owned Audible. Meghan is excited to join Michelle and Barack Obama, who signed a multi-year deal with Audible last year," a source told the Mirror.
Princess Meghan "seems very confident at this point" about the possibility of a deal and "knows that a new contract with Audible could make or break her Hollywood dreams." She feels she is ready, but that does not mean that this is not a serious challenge." They added that "the stakes are very high."
Marie Claire reported a few weeks ago about a possible move to Audible, and the talent agency she signed with in April, William Morris Endeavor (WME), is no doubt assisting with the deal. A possible move to Audible "could Archetypes" could mean the return of "Archetypes" or entirely new content, but if true, expect Megan to return to this space.
