First look at Angelina Jolie and Chloé's collaboration

Chloé today unveiled an exclusive collaboration with Angelina Jolie's newly launched fashion label and creative collective, Atelier Jolie. The collection focuses primarily on eveningwear and promises "a fusion of flowing feminine silhouettes and graceful fabrics. Jolie, a fashion-loving actress, filmmaker, founder of Atelier Jolie, and humanitarian, worked with Chloé's former creative director, Gabriela Hearst, to create the collection. The designs won't be available until early 2024, but luckily, Jolie and Hirst gave us a sneak peek at what the collection will look like.

Expect elegant dresses in relaxed silhouettes and sophisticated outerwear layered with chic, airy staples. This includes an embroidered white cotton dress that Jolie wore as a child that has been repurposed as a top. The collection is neutral in color, as Jolie designed the pieces to suit a variety of skin tones. Look forward to whites, beiges, sooty browns, and blacks shining through here.

The collection is centered on the core theme of sustainability, which both Jolie and Hearst have long championed. The collaboration utilizes dead stock (fabrics and leftover scraps that were not used before being produced in the atelier) to reduce the carbon footprint and raise the sustainability score. Natural fabrics will be used in the collection, with flowing dresses made of organic silk, organic crepe de chine, and certified wool. The collection will be made up of at least 80% low environmental impact materials, a higher percentage than any previous collection from a B-Corps certified fashion house. [From soft fabrics that express casual femininity to long opera capes in black velvet that elevate outerwear. A flowing white dress in deadstock sand-colored micro silk sable with a ruched neckline is a modern style that can be worn day or night. The Maison's iconic Lavalliere shirt in deadstock textured silk satin paired with crisply tailored black velvet pants. An elegant gabardine three-piece suit in upcycled wool proves that old ideas can be made new again. [The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection will be available in Chloé stores and online at Chloe.com in January 2024. We will update this article as soon as the collaboration begins.
