Travis Kells' father, Ed, says it was a "tough time" when he started dating Taylor Swift, but they are doing perfectly well together.
Travis Kelce's father, Ed, is probably the biggest fan of his son's relationship with Taylor Swift.
In a new interview with EntertainmentTonight, the proud NFL dad noted that Travis and Swift embarking on a new relationship is technically a really tough time, but they have somehow managed to do better than expected.
"I think they are two very, very driven, professional individuals," Ed said.
"I think they are very supportive of each other. It's a rough time for either of them to be in a relationship right now." [She's in the middle of a huge tour and he's knee-deep in [the NFL season]. At least he's as serious about his craft as she is about hers"
.
Ed continued, "I'm not sure how much he's going to be able to do. I think Travis supports that. And I think she understands how dedicated Travis is to getting 10 hours of sleep a day. So I think they are both very supportive."
Elsewhere in the interview, Ed called Swift "very genuine" and "very down to earth," echoing comments he made earlier this week about the singer not receiving "diva notes" while watching Travis' game with the Chiefs.
"I'm sitting in my suite. She gets up and goes to the front room to get a drink or something and starts picking up all the empty bottles, cans, and plates that are scattered around. In the suite, everybody gets stuff, so we empty it wherever we can," Ed told People.
"Then I thought to myself, it's like she didn't get the diva memo. She doesn't understand that she's a spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to make it work. And that really, to me, said a lot."
[18Travis' mother, Donna Kells, also seems to approve of her son's new girlfriend, which is good news for the fledgling lovebirds.
