Prince & Princess of Wales, legitimate fears for their three children
Over time, the three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have become more visible, attending royal events with their parents and stepping into the ever-present spotlight that surrounds them. However, even though they are public figures, William and Kate want to protect the privacy of their three children and to ensure that they have as normal a childhood as possible.
"William and Kate are wisely concerned about his [George's] and Charlotte and Louis' overexposure," royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Express about one of William and Kate's greatest fears. 'The younger they are, the more likely they are to steal the show with their childish antics.
George, in particular, is attracting worldwide attention as the future monarch: "Anything George, the future king, does, whether it's serving as chamberlain at the coronation or blowing bubbles on a visit to Canada, is of interest," Fitzwilliams said. "We get little tidbits about George enjoying dancing, playing tennis, or liking pizza, and we regularly take pictures of him on special occasions and see him at royal functions. But his parents are well aware that he and his siblings will need to have privacy as they grow up"
.
The Daily Express reports that King Charles is "pressuring the eldest son and his wife to take on more duties," but William and Kate have stated that they want to put their young family first. As an example, Kate has chosen to miss William's third annual Earthshot Awards ceremony in Singapore next month and stay behind to help George take his exams the same week.
