Justin Timberlake Confronts Man Britney Spears Cheated On While Hosting 'Saturday Night Live'
Justin Timberlake has apparently confronted dancer and choreographer Wade Robson over his alleged affair with Britney Spears.
Shortly before Timberlake broke up with Spears, Timberlake was with his then-girlfriend at the NBC show's iconic 30 Rock Studios in Manhattan on February 2, 2022, while Spears was shooting a music video. What no one knew at the time was that a few days earlier, Timberlake had "found a long-winded breakup note she had written to Robson," Page Six reported.
"Britney had a dual role [on SNL] as musical guest and host," a former production source told the magazine.
"Justin had found letters revealing that the affair had been going on for months and that she and Wade had been sleeping together. He had been trying to get in touch with Wade and was finally able to talk to him on the phone as Britney was in the middle of SNL. If you look closely, he was not on stage when Britney thanked him at the end of the show. (Excuse me while I go find the SNL archives from 2002...)After the recording was over, Spears and Timberlake "spent 40 minutes huddled together in her dressing room before heading to an after-party they were hosting at Serafina," Page Six reported. A month later, their three-year relationship ended.
In her recently released memoir, The Woman in Me, Spears confessed to betraying Robson and Timberlake (after learning Timberlake had cheated on her), but wrote that she and Robson had only kissed. 'One night we went to a bar in Spain. 'We danced and danced. I made out with him that night."
She also wrote that she "had a great time with him.
Nevertheless, according to Page Six, last week singer-songwriter Annette Altani, who helped Spears write "Everytime" in 2003, said Timberlake found a 14-page breakup letter from Spears to Robson, and "the affair was was more serious than a kiss," the magazine reported.
Back to that night's episode of SNL: Timberlake actually joined Spears onstage, along with comedian Chris Kattan, and became part of a joke in which Kattan claimed he was Spears.
"I know how to fix this," Spears said in the skit. 'Justin, can you come over here for a second? Timberlake said to Spears as he came on stage to the screams of fans.
"Justin, that wasn't me," Spears said.
"Kattan, don't do that!" Timberlake yelled. Timberlake yelled, then said, "Britney Spears is here!"
and introduced his girlfriend. Then, "Baby, are you sure it's not you?" He joked.
