There is no truth to the rumor that Matthew Perry's "Friends" co-star Lisa Kudrow is getting his dog.

After a death, especially an unexpected one, there is much to be done and often confusion. Rumors circulated that Matthew Perry's "Friends" co-star, Lisa Kudrow, was going to adopt his dog.

Despite multiple reports that Perry's dog would be adopted by Kudrow, People confirmed that he did not have a dog at the time of his death on Saturday. Nevertheless, confusion may have arisen because Perry was the father of a Doodle mix named Alfredo that he had previously owned with his ex-girlfriend, Molly Hurwitz. (They began dating in 2018, became engaged in November 2020, and broke up in June 2021.)

Alfred apparently came to live with Hurwitz after the breakup and has become a regular on her Instagram, including a post last month in which she opened up about her close connection to the pup.

"Alfred is three years old. 'He can be very annoying a lot of the time, but he's a real loving potato. He came into my life at a dark depressing time and took me far away from it. He's also fucking adorable. Cheers, Alfredo. #adoptdontshop."

Yesterday, Hurwitz reflected on his relationship with Perry and shared a lengthy tribute to him on Instagram.

Perry died over the weekend from accidental drowning at his L.A. home. He was 54 years old.
