Travis Kells Files Five Trademarks; Fans Think Taylor Swift is Giving Business Advice

Travis Kelce (aka Taylor's boyfriend, IYKYK) filed for five trademarks: his full name, the social media name KillaTrav, the tagline "alright nah," "Flight 87" after his jersey number, the serial brand Kelce's Krunch Kelce's Krunch cereal brand.

Given her relationship with Taylor Swift, the move seemed a little too timely, and fans believe she must have given Kelce some business advice.

"The application claims that Taylor's boyfriend will use the trademark to offer pins, posters, bobbleheads, clothing, and even cereal," trademark attorney Josh Garven wrote on Twitter.

"Wonder if our girlfriend is advising him," commented another.

"The perks of dating one of the best businesswomen," someone said.

"Sounds like he's talking to TM Queen," added another.

Meanwhile, another joked, "He should have trademarked 'Taylor's boyfriend.'"

This sarcastic moniker is what some fans have started calling him. Kels' sense of humor is always great, which makes people like him even more.

The reason people think Swift may be behind this new move by Kels is because she has a long history of fighting for the rights to her own work  which is why we are getting re-releases of all those Taylor versions first! .

The singer is also no stranger to trademark registration (the understatement of the century). According to the blog of intellectual property law firm Michael E. Kondoudis, Swift has 50 trademarks (50! 50 zero!) ), and has filed more than 350 trademark applications to date.

She owns trademarks for her full name, initials, tour name, album name, fan club name, several song titles, and selected lyrics. So she was probably shocked to hear that Travis Kelce had not trademarked "Travis Kelce."

As for his NFL pro business plans, he is open to doing his best to keep his path open, as he has many projects underway when he retires from football. In particular, in June (via CBS Sports), he said, "I can sit there and talk football and be relatable [in my future work]. You can get into the scheme of things. I can help people who are just now getting into football understand football. And I can bring the juice."

As you know, Kelsey also does a podcast with his brother Jason and recently appeared on "Saturday Night Live."
