Prince William and Princess Kate enjoy VIP suites at London's Heathrow Airport for more than $4,000 per flight

The Prince and Princess of Wales may be focused on sustainability, but they are still royalty. This is evident when William and Kate travel through London's Heathrow Airport, where, after smoothly passing through airport security, they are accommodated in a VIP suite that costs approximately 3,300 pounds (which translates to about $4,140) per flight. The suite, called the Windsor Suite, will be used by the Welsh couple as they prepare to fly abroad, whether for a royal tour or a personal vacation.

The Windsor Suite is located in Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport and is "ideal for royalty, world leaders, and A-list celebrities," according to Hello magazine. Guests of the Windsor Suites are treated to chauffeur service, private luxury suites, Michelin-starred menus, and unlimited champagne. (Hey, there's nothing wrong with a to-go sandwich.) For people like William and Kate, who, like us, would attract too much attention if left at the airport, the Windsor Suite is the answer.

Meals in the Windsor Suite are prepared by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and served to guests via a dedicated butler. Atherton's menu is "light and seasonal," using British ingredients, and includes everything from light bites to slightly indulgent dishes, Harrow reports. And then there are the desserts! There are "decadent pastries drizzled with pistachios and honey" and "chocolate fondue with marshmallows, shortbread, and fresh strawberries," among others. Main dishes include "BBQ Pulled Chicken with Celeriac Slaw, Spiced Bream, Warm Chickpea and Samphire Salad, Tomato Confit with Charred Eggplant Puree and Saffron Aiolo, Steamed Sea Bass with Bergamot Marmalade and Fennel Pickles."

"You can order as much as you want from the menu," Priya Malhotra, head of Heathrow VIP, told Business Insider.

"You can even order the whole menu and have me down with a glass of Dom [Perignon champagne].

William and Kate usually fly commercial rather than first class, but if they were to fly British Airways, the menu for first class passengers would include "oak-smoked Gressingham duck with summer truffles Seasonal dishes like Italian Burrata, Lobster Tortelloni with Clam and Sweet Corn Chowder" are included.

If you want to experience the Windsor Suite, you can. To see the inside for yourself, the aforementioned £3,300 for two hours of service is required, the only caveat being that you must be a first or business class passenger.
