Matt Damon explains why kissing co-star Scarlett Johansson was "hell."

Most men would say that kissing Scarlett Johansson (and calling it work) is the opposite of hell, but co-star Matt Damon said it was. (Don't worry, Damon said the kiss itself was "really nice.")

While the two were filming their 2011 movie We Bought a Zoo, Damon "had to kiss Scarlett Johansson after she ate a smelly sandwich," Page Six reports that Damon, who was (supposedly) interviewed by LADbible, "had to kiss Scarlett Johansson.

He continued, "What happened was, we did a shot before lunch, and it was this nice two-shot that ended with a kiss. It was really nice." Then came the stinky food. Damon and Johansson thought they were done shooting kisses and went out to lunch.

"She and I both thought it was over," Damon says. 'She had an onion sandwich.'

Unbeknownst to them, they had to shoot another kissing scene after they returned from lunch.

"She came in and director Cameron Crowe set up the camera and we shot the kiss tight. She said, 'Oh, shoot! I literally just ate an onion sandwich!"

Damon said.

Damon recalled that he had been "teasing" her about her "onion breath" all along, but it was all in good fun: "Her breath smells like roses!" He concluded.

I love co-stars I can laugh with.
