Friends Claim Prince William and Prince Charles Are "Greatly Irritated" by Prince Harry's Court Battle

Since leaving the royal family in 2020, Prince Harry has been determined to help change the ways of the British tabloids and has therefore filed several lawsuits against various news conglomerates, alleging invasion of privacy and defamation.

Normally, members of the British royal family shy away from legal action, but since Harry stepped down as senior royalty, he has been more free to engage in legal action if he so chooses.

According to royal friends, Prince William, King Charles, and their spouses understand that the Duke of Sussex can take a company to court if he wishes, but that Harry's testimony and appearances may reveal extra revelations about (or to) his royal relatives given that he is not too happy about it.

"Everyone in the family fully accepts that Harry is a private citizen and can do what he likes without being associated with the family," a source told The Daily Beast.

"That doesn't mean they have to like it. Of course, they are greatly irritated that Harry's trial will be more extensive, but that's what they were hoping for. Their goal is not to be distracted by any of this, but to just keep going."

These comments come after news broke Thursday that Harry's case against News Group Newspapers, publisher of The Sun, will go to trial next year after a preliminary hearing in April.

Harry is currently split between a trial against Associated Newspapers, publisher of The Daily Mail, and a trial against Mirror Group Newspapers, publisher of The Daily Mirror.
