Cara Delevingne Says Sobriety is "Worth Every Second"

Supermodel Cara Delevingne made the courageous decision last year to enter rehab and participate in a 12-step program.

"It wasn't easy," she said. But there's never been a moment when I thought, 'This isn't worth it.' Every second is worth it. I just don't know what it takes to give it up. I am stable. I'm calm."

After opening up about her struggles earlier this year, Delevigne said she felt a burden had been lifted: "For a long time I felt like I was hiding a lot from people who respected me. For a long time I felt like I was hiding a lot from people who respected me."

Delevigne told Vogue this April that she went into a 12-step program after a paparazzi photo taken at Los Angeles' Van Nuys Airport last July gave her an urgent wake-up call and "reality check." according to People admitted that the photo was "heartbreaking" and that she was in the "wrong place," and further explained that her actions were tied to the effects of the pandemic and her milestone 30th birthday last August.

Last month, the supermodel attended Glastonbury (a British music festival) sober for the first time in 15 years and shared that it was "by far my favorite". 'I've been going to Glastonbury since I was 15, but this year was my first time sober. It was full of tears, bellyfuls of laughter, long-awaited reunions, and lots and lots of love. Until next time. ......"

What an inspiration.
