Angus Cloud of "Euphoria" Dies at 25

One of Hollywood's brightest young talents has died at age 25, Variety reported. Angus Cloud - perhaps best known for his role as drug dealer Fezco "Fez" O'Neil in the HBO hit "Euphoria" - was mourned in a statement from his family.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human being today. As an artist, friend, brother, and son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways." Last week he buried his father and suffered this loss intensely. The only solace is that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his struggles with mental health. I hope that his death will serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone and that they should not struggle in silence and alone."

The statement continued. 'We hope the world remembers him for his humor, his laughter, and his love for everyone. We are still processing this devastating loss, so we ask that you please respect our privacy for now.

Cloud's role as Fez was his first acting job, and as Variety reports, he was pulled off the street to appear in Euphoria. 'I was just hanging out,' he said. I was with some friends! I'm concerned about what people say. It's not that simple. It's not that simple. I brought a lot to this character. You are free to believe what you want. It has nothing to do with me."

Cloud was a fan favorite in "Hibike! Euphonium" and was a fan favorite, but according to a report in Variety, production on a third season has not yet begun.

"We are incredibly saddened by the news of Angus Cloud's passing," HBO said in a statement. 'He was immensely talented and much loved by HBO and the Euphoria family. Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family during this difficult time."

Returning to the point that Cloud, who played Fez, was essentially playing himself, Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti said of him, "People think, 'Oh, he just shows up. He's just a lazy drunk. Angus doesn't get enough credit."
