Kelly Clarkson handles a proposal from a female fan in a hilarious NSFW way.

[During a performance at the new Las Vegas residency, a female fan held up a "hall pass" (a term used between certain couples to say they are willing to be out of the relationship, but only to that one person) sign to Kelly Clarkson.) That sign, held up by a fan on the first day of Clarkson's 10-show Las Vegas residency "Chemistry," read, "My girlfriend gave me a hall pass for you." According to a video taken by a fan, Clarkson's response was hilarious and completely NSFW: "Amidst the cheers of the fans, Clarkson said from the stage. 'I just, unfortunately, love the D-S.'"

According to People, Clarkson's "Chemistry" residency was slated to begin in 2020, before the pandemic hit. On opening night, she admitted to a long wait to take the stage, telling fans at Planet Hollywood, "I feel like I haven't done a show in 9,000 years." Clarkson performed hits such as "Since U Been Gone," "Because of You," and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" during her 95-minute set.

Clarkson, who hosts her eponymous "Kelly Clarkson Show," paid tribute to her talk show through a Kelly Oak session singing someone else's songs. Her choice for opening night was "As It Was" by Harry Styles. Said Clarkson, "We're going to do Kelly Oak every night." We were actually supposed to sing this song on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' but we couldn't perform it on the show because there was a strike and no one had jobs."

Each of her 10 shows will be different, Clarkson said: "There will be a lot of songs and every night will be different," she said in an Instagram video. 'I want the show to be special for everyone. All the new songs from the album are in there somewhere. If not, you're just asking for it because we have so many songs."

"Chemistry" runs through August 19.
