New video released by the Foundation talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle made their first official appearance in three months, coordinating in beige and showing off updates on their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in a video to mark the launch of a fund to support online safety projects for young people, They looked as happy as ever, the Daily Express reported.
The Sussexes personally called some of the recipients of the $2 million fund and captured the event on camera, which was made available through the couple's Archwell Foundation website. According to the Daily Express, the video "refers to the pair simply as Harry and Meghan and does not mention their royal titles."
The video shows the two sitting side by side in the garden of their home in Montecito, where they congratulated 26 individuals and organizations for receiving awards from the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF). The purpose of the fund is to support "fairer, more inclusive technology" and find ways to make online life less harmful for young people.
The two said their children, Archie and Lili, are "incredibly grateful" to the young leaders who were selected for the first class of RTYPF, which was created to support those working within the "responsible technology movement." [Harry told Sneha Revanur of Encode Justice, "Thank you for everything you do. Our children, especially, are incredibly grateful." Princess Meghan laughed and said, "They don't realize it yet, but they will!"
In another portion of the three-minute video, Meghan praised the "tremendous impact" that tackling the harmful aspects of social media and online misinformation can have.
"What I appreciated was that sometimes it feels like the advocacy work we do as young people is underappreciated," said Sam Heiner, executive director of the Young People's Alliance Education Fund. It was really gratifying to hear them recognize the importance of the work we are doing and to hear them talk about the importance of young people participating in the democratic process."
Speaking to Us Weekly about the couple, a source told the magazine, "They are united. As far as they are concerned, they are Harry and Meghan to the world. The source added, "They just do things together. They rely on each other for strength and always have."
