Read MoreHaley Bieber is fed up with the Selena Gomez feud and is speaking out about it. Bieber, of course, is married to Justin Bieber, and Gomez and Bieber used to date; People reports that Bieber said the (nonexistent) feud is "totally made up and twisted," leaving no doubt about her feelings about it did: "I hate it," she said.
Appearing on Bloomberg's "The Circuit," host Emily Chan did not use Gomez's name directly, but a news clip that mentioned the two women was shown on screen. 'I don't think this is me, Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez,' she said. It's really about the vile, disgusting hatred that comes from a completely made-up, twisted, and perpetuated narrative that is truly dangerous."
She continued, "And I think it's an opportunity to really support bringing people together and not allowing the kind of division that it has caused. I don't like the idea that this person is a team and that person is a team."
Chang added that the story is a "frustrating old tale" of two women at odds "because of a man."
"I hate it," Bieber agreed, adding, "I hate it from the beginning and it goes back to being misunderstood. It's such a shame that people still have this attitude about men after I've told them over and over again that I don't have a problem with it."
"It's a shame," Bieber said.
Referring to her business, Rohde said, "I don't want some stupid made-up drama to affect what I'm focused on. There are stories out there that hurt my feelings and really upset me." On social media, Bieber called TikTok "mean" and "negative" while YouTube is a "really inclusive and positive space."
In March, Gomez herself addressed the rumors of her feud with Bieber on Instagram, writing, "Haley Bieber contacted me to let me know she was receiving death threats and hateful negative words. This is not something I support. No one should have to experience hate and bullying. I have always advocated for kindness and this really needs to stop."
Later that day, Bieber posted her own story, writing, "I want to thank Selena for speaking up. These past few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people have seen a lot of hate over this and it is very damaging. Social media is a great way to connect and build community, but moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together."
