Prince William is working on Princess Diana's "unapproachable" vision of the monarchy, royal experts claim.

Despite her tragically short life, Princess Diana's legacy has endured beyond measure.

Not only did Princess Diana have a profound impact on the United Kingdom and the world at large, but she also had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

"I am often asked about Diana's legacy. And I always say that her true legacy is her two sons, both of whom are invested in many of the causes that Diana championed," royal correspondent Jenny Bond told OK! commenting specifically on Prince William's new "Homewards" initiative, which addresses homelessness

The expert also noted Harry's own way of honoring his mother through his work, emphasizing how dedicated William is to bringing Diana's vision to life.

"Harry has literally followed in his mother's footsteps in Angola. But William clearly intends not only to continue but to complete his mother's work on homelessness," Bond said. His new initiative is something he has been thinking and planning for years, and he credits his mother for taking him to visit homeless hostels and inspiring him when he was just a boy"

.

"Now he doesn't just want to tackle homelessness, he wants to eradicate it. In almost everything he says and does, William is gently promoting the monarchy"

.

For Bond, this is the crux of the matter: William wants to ensure that the monarchy is with the times, even though it is anchored in history.

"He knows and professes that it is his job to keep the monarchy relevant in the modern world," the expert continued.

"Princess Diana told me that the monarchy was too distant and unapproachable and that she wanted to change it. William is doing his best to do that."

Homewards intends to create "bases" or regional chapters throughout the UK with a view to ending homelessness over the next five years. [21] [22] William's work in support of homelessness has been ongoing, including his appointment as Royal Patron of the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint in 2005, but Homewards is a major step forward in his work. We cannot wait to see what the future holds.
