Dua Lipa Exposes Nipples, Margot Robbie Recreates 1960 Barbie Look: Style Dispatches from 'Barbie' Premiere
Previous press tours of the Barbie movie have seen Margot Robbie show off her best Barbie-core fashion in a series of pink outfits inspired by the Mattel dolls.
But, of course, the stellar cast of the upcoming film saved their biggest outing for the official world premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Here's a look at how it all went down.
First up was Dua Lipa, who plays one of the Barbies, in a glittery silver chainmail dress that exposed her nipples and showed a white thong underneath. She let her hair down and finished the look with a Tiffany & Co. diamond and platinum graduated line necklace
As for Margot Robbie, who plays the film's lead Barbie, she eschewed pink for the occasion and instead wore the original Barbie of 1960, aptly named "Barbie Solo in the Spotlight."
She was dressed in the original 1960 Barbie, aptly named "Barbie Solo in the Spotlight.
She wore a custom Schiaparelli skin-tight, strapless, glittery black gown with calf-high, sticky black taffeta, long black opera gloves, black peep-toe heels, and a striking diamond choker.
Robbie wore her hair up and styled it exactly like Barbie's with a retro pony created by hairstylist Bryce Scarlett using Tangle Teezer tools and Redken products.
Scarlett said she was "inspired by this 1960s doll-like ponytail to coordinate with her stunning 60s-style custom Schiaparelli gown."
Ryan Gosling, who plays the film's lead character Ken, looked fabulous in a baby pink suit with his shirt unbuttoned at the top and a chain necklace with an E for his partner Eva Mendes in the Barbie font.
America Ferrera, who does not play Barbie in the film, wore a custom baby pink satin crop top and floor-length skirt by St. John. Being a custom, her outfit cannot be purchased as is, but a dress version of the outfit can be obtained.
Michael Cera also wore a pink suit, but in his case it was a Dusty Rose and Salmon situation, while Kingsley Ben Adil (the other Ken) wore a black shirt and pants with a white suit jacket.
Sim Liu (also Ken, lol) looked great in a baby blue suit and what looked like a utility waistcoat (technical term).
Director Greta Gerwig was in a Barbie pink gown, oversized blazer, and matching Valentino bag.
Alexandra Shipp (Barbie) wore a cutout black, white, and sparkly gown.
Issa Ray (yes, Barbie) stunned in a cutout Barbie pink velvet gown.
Kate McKinnon (yes, Barbie) also hopped on the pink suit train in a custom waistcoat and matching pants by Kallmeyer with pointed toe stilettos.
Of the look, the brand wrote on Instagram. "What a thrill and honor to create a quintessential KALLMEYER look to celebrate an iconic and nostalgic moment. As a little girl, I would cut Barbie's hair, dress her in Ken's clothes, kiss her, and tell my sister she was just being cool.
"Kate - I know you play gymnastics Barbie, but thank you for making it cool to be gay Barbie." Heartwarming!
Hari Nef, who plays the other Barbie, appeared in a ruffle-filled strapless black dress by CELINE by Hedi Slimane, wearing a Tiffany & Co Victoria Diamond Vine necklace set in platinum and a She sparkled in a Tiffany Victoria Diamond Vine necklace set in platinum and Tiffany Victoria Diamond Vine drop earrings, also in platinum.
Gold stars for everyone!
