Meghan Markle Reportedly Tapped for Lead Role in "The Bodyguard" Sequel

Meghan Markle's Career Possibilities Are Endless - Re-launching "The Tig! A Memoir of Myself! Before she met Prince Harry, before she married into the royal family, before the Oprah Winfrey interview, before "Archetypes," Meghan was an actress on the verge of fame.

If Meghan were to return to acting, it would have to be in next-level, sensational, headline-worthy roles. There are reports that Princess Meghan is in the running for the lead role in the sequel to 1992's "The Bodyguard," starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. Interestingly, this very role was being considered before Diana's death in 1997, but after her passing, the project was shelved and has remained in the works.

The Daily Express reported that Costner was offered the idea of a sequel, and one source said, "The only thing Kevin likes better than a loser like Megan is a box office hit."

In 2012, Costner said that the studio "loved Bodyguard 2" with Diana as his new love interest. Costner even spoke with Diana on the phone: "She was incredibly sweet on the phone and asked me, 'Is there going to be a kissing scene?'" I asked. She said in a very respectful way. I said, 'Yes. There will be a few kissing scenes, but I'm okay with that.

Diana, who at the time was going through a divorce from then-Prince Charles, said, "Look, my life may one day be mine alone. I'm going to write this script, and when it's done, I'm going to be in a really good place." She died before that dream could be realized.

Would you watch "Bodyguard 2" with Megan as the main character?
