Gestures showing that Princess Charlotte wants to show that she is an adult.

There is a saying that is often said to be more true for Welsh children than ever: "Babies don't let go." It was probably only yesterday that Prince George was born and we were eagerly awaiting the announcement of his name. Prince George, like his sister Princess Charlotte and brother Prince Louis, grew up before our eyes; at eight years old, Princess Charlotte is "eager to show how fast she is growing up," reports the Daily Express.

Body language experts zoomed in on the close relationship between Prince William and his only daughter, which was on display at this year's Trooping the Colour. And Charlotte, whom Prince William affectionately calls "Lottie" or "Mignonette," wants to show how mature she is while appreciating her father's affection. For his part, William respects Charlotte's desire for independence, says body language expert Judy James.

"In 2020, William and Kate took their three children to the panto, and although William arrived holding the hand of their little daughter Charlotte, once they reached the red carpet, Charlotte immediately pulled away and entered alone," James says. 'This gesture probably sums up the special father-daughter relationship quite well. William has always been a very fair father in terms of play, love rituals, and attention, but his three children have very different personalities, and his daughter is probably the most confident and independent now."[5 [Charlotte was only five years old at the time. James said, "While George is content to hold his father's hand longer and Louis prefers to cry to entertain the crowd, Charlotte seems eager to show how quickly she is growing up and how little she needs parenting now."

Despite Charlotte's maturity, William is still a very hands-on, devoted father, which Charlotte welcomes, James said.

"William's love tie sign is still there and Charlotte still seems very grateful." William strokes her hair as a rewarding gesture and comfort, even at difficult events like the Jubilee celebration, but when it comes to his two younger brothers and their behavior at formal events, he proudly watches as his daughter takes over as "class prefect." (Here in "Marie Claire " calls this "Charlotte in charge.")

And the closeness between father and daughter is evident, James says, both when the brothers are present and when they are not. Take one example of when George and Louis were not present: "At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Charlotte attended with her parents, but not her brothers.

At the Games, William, Charlotte, and Princess Kate were photographed, and Charlotte mimicked William's joined hands posture. She [Charlotte] is often seen mimicking her mother's body language, but at a relaxed event like this one, it was William that Charlotte mirrored the most."
