Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need to "show some backbone" to "silence dissenters" in the wake of their Emmy disappointment, a therapist said.

The Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan," featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, was not nominated for the Emmy Awards, which were announced Wednesday. They had previously been expected to be nominees for the Television Academy Awards.

While the news will certainly bring disappointment, certain self-proclaimed Sussex haters will rejoice at the announcement.

"Skeptics and haters will hate, doubt, and use the omission from the Emmy nominations to further discredit Meghan and Harry's creative work," senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker told the US edition of the Mirror.

"If they had won the award, they would have been accused of being mere sycophants."

Baker said, "Now they have the opportunity to show grit and determination."

"They must dig deep and earn their professional status in order to silence their opponents.

According to another commentator, this may be specifically what Meghan may be planning in the near future, more specifically, a return to acting in the manner she did before joining the royal family.

"Princess Meghan is obviously concerned about her children, but acting will definitely be in the pipeline," media commentator Mark Boardman told the Daily Express US.

"She wants to be taken seriously as a movie star, and 'Suits' probably didn't get the kind of recognition she wanted."

"Meghan wants to be a leading lady and will definitely return to acting. She needs to find her own career and identity."

I think that's kinda cool! I wonder what will happen.
