Sarah Ferguson Says Caring for Queen's Corgi Became More Difficult While Recovering from Breast Cancer

When Queen Elizabeth died last year, Prince Andrew and his wife Sarah Ferguson were given the care of two corgis, Muick and Sandy, who were a gift to the Queen.

However, the Duchess of York recently delivered the painful news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery to remove it, which was fortunately successful.

As a result, Fergie is now recuperating, making it much more difficult for her to care for not only Muick and Sandy, but also her other five dogs.

The Duchess recently addressed the corgis in particular on her podcast "Tea Talks" (via the Mirror), saying they are not patient.

"They're corgis, so they're used to people coming over and taking them for walks. They're watching Wimbledon and putting their feet up."

She added, "I was told today that I could walk them more, and when you have seven dogs they don't understand that I can't move as much as I used to. So I said, 'Hello. Come here. It's me.'"

The Duchess, who later shared a photo of the beautiful scenery on Instagram, revealed, "Yesterday, I took all seven dogs to a place where the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth used to go for walks. It was wonderful to have such a memorable moment."

She added, "We had a wonderful time.

Sarah and Andrew live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, despite their divorce in 1996. The Queen died in Balmoral, Scotland, but they spent so much time at Windsor Castle that they were neighbors when she died.
