This past weekend, July 22, 10-year-old Prince George and 8-year-old Princess Charlotte attended the Wimbledon tennis finals with their parents, Prince William and Princess Kate.

For royal commentators, the appearance provided the perfect opportunity to observe the sweet family relationships of the royal children. (Unfortunately, Prince Louis, age 5, had to stay at home as he is still a bit too young to participate in tennis.)

Judy James, a body language expert, used the opportunity to turn a wide lens on the overall relationship between the Prince of Wales and his two eldest sons. She explained that even though George is the future heir to the throne, William is very careful not to treat him any differently than Charlotte.

"William may tend to be very careful in treating George and Charlotte as equals, even though he is the eventual heir and may tend to be very careful with George, who is increasingly shown as someone to mentor for that role and share the joys of sports such as soccer with, We are always very careful," James told the Express about the royal family's parenting style.

One particularly striking example of this was when William took George and Charlotte to the kickoff of a half-marathon in Sandringham on Father's Day 2021, which was also his 39th birthday. This, she felt, showed that William was making an effort to include his two children whenever possible.

After all, early childhood development is very important to Welsh parents, and their philosophy is reflected in the way they raise their three children. They would love to see that.
