Read MorePrincess Charlotte of the British Royal Family made her Wimbledon debut along with her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and her brother, Prince George. The men's singles final was between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, with the Spanish-born Alcaraz winning.
The princess wore a blue dress with fluttering sleeves by the Spanish brand Friki. King Felipe of Spain was also in attendance, as he was cheering for Alcaraz. One Twitter fan suggested that Charlotte wore the dress to show her respect for King Felipe, and Charlotte chatted with the king in the royal box where she toured the event with her family.
"King Felipe catching up with Princess Catherine and Princess Charlotte wow," one fan wrote on Instagram. Another added, "Look at Charlotte's face talking to the King. She is a born queen." A third added, "I adore that look on Princess Charlotte's face. I am completely smitten." [Charlotte's nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Bolaro, is also from Spain, and Charlotte has never known life without her. A Twitter user wrote, "In honor of Felipe, a Spanish dress from Maria," suggesting that Bolaro bought the dress for Charlotte.
After Alcaraz won, Charlotte took the opportunity to meet the champion, and the Mirror reported that the usually confident princess suddenly became shy and star-struck. (It also reported that Charlotte "punched Carlos Alcaraz in the air with glee when he won his first Wimbledon title.") Alcaraz was congratulated by King Felipe and William and George.
"Alcaraz seemed surprised to meet the new Wimbledon champion, even dashing behind Kate Mum's back as those around her congratulated the 20-year-old Alcaraz," the Mirror reported.
The young princess already seems to be a fan of the young champion, the Mirror reported. When Alcaraz was crowned, fans noticed her "kind look" at him, with one writing, "PRINCESS CHARLOTTE IS MAKING MY HEART MELT LOOK AT HOW SHE'S LOOKING AT ALCARAZ." He added, "She looks so sweet. She is so happy for him." One BBC commenter noticed her affectionate expression as the camera panned toward the royal box at the celebration after Alcaraz won: "She is so happy for Carlos' win," he said.
Another fan wrote: "She was gorgeous and the cheering from the audience was lovely!" and wrote: "Princess Charlotte is going to have Carlos Alcaraz posters all over her walls!" he joked.
Another fan even thought that her sunny appearance on center court might even inspire her to pursue tennis herself-"Princess Charlotte fancies having a go at tennis? What are the chances?" She seems to genuinely love tennis". Charlotte is athletic, and Kate herself plays tennis on the courts at Sandringham Manor's Anmer Hall.
