How did Prince William and Princess Kate try to make Prince George's childhood "as normal as possible" before his 10th birthday?

As Prince George approaches his milestone 10th birthday this weekend, royal experts and commentators are reflecting on his life so far and how Prince William and Princess Kate will raise the future king.

One of the commentators repeatedly asked for her opinion on the royal family is former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond, who is as thoughtful as ever in this edition.

"Despite such a great destiny, his parents have tried very hard to make his childhood as normal as possible," Bond says OK!

For Bond, the central idea of this normal childhood has been William and Kate since George was born have insisted on privacy.

"The key to that was agreeing with the press that instead of Lady Catherine and William publishing their pictures at key moments in their lives, he and his siblings would be left mostly alone," Bond says, "so that we could see our children's birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and other He is referring to the sweet family photos.

"I don't think it was a written agreement, but an informal arrangement with the press, and Lady Catherine took the initiative to suddenly release these pictures on special occasions and birthdays."

"Although there was an agreement with the press that William and Harry would be alone together at school, years went by and Harry was photographed coming out of a nightclub and everything got a bit lax.

"So, it was Princess Catherine's initiative to release these photos on her birthday that made all the difference.

For Bond, this privacy agreement proved to be quite beneficial, especially for George.

"The arrangement has worked out very well, and George is now better able to deal with cameras and publicity when he is in large places. But it can be a little unnerving, even for a 10-year-old," she says. [I think George has been a little luckier lately. Because Louis has a reputation of being the kid who clowns around and gets the spotlight. So he's taking a little heat off George!"

.

When it comes to normalcy in George's life, this is not always easy in the Welsh family, and as royal expert Angela Levine once said, Kate is "acutely aware of the pressure of raising George as the future monarch."
