Princess Kate raises eyebrows at the occupation listed on Prince George's birth certificate.

July 22, 2013, the day Prince George came into this world (he will turn 10 on Saturday). Even though he is the future king, he still needed a birth certificate like the rest of us, and the occupation listed by his mother was, according to the Mirror, not a very common one.

"Like any birth certificate, it lists George's full name, date of birth, place of birth (Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital), and informant (Prince William).

However, it was in the mother's occupation column that an unusual answer was given. Kate's occupation was "Princess of England." This, too, would not be something the archives would see every day.

William's occupation was "Prince of the United Kingdom."

In 2013, this was particularly confusing, even more so than it is now: at that time, and from her wedding day in 2011 until September 2022, after the late king's death, Kate was known as the Duchess of Cambridge, not the current Duchess of Wales. The Mirror reported, "This meant that at the time her The Mirror reported, "This led many to question whether she was really a princess, given that her title was Duchess of Cambridge. But from the day she married William, she was technically a princess. But then the title of Duchess of Cambridge took precedence, and now the style of Princess of Wales takes precedence."

The Duchess of Cambridge is also known as the "Duchess of Wales," a title that is still used by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

And although she is a princess, Kate is first and foremost a mother not only to George, but also to Princess Charlotte, born in 2015, and Prince Louis, born in 2018. According to the Daily Express, after the kids go to bed on Friday night, what Kate does to prepare for George's big day on Saturday is to bake a birthday cake.

"I love to bake," Kate said on Mrs. Mary Berry's Christmas special, "A Very Royal Christmas."

"I have a little habit of staying up until midnight making cake mixes and icing like an idiot, and then making too much of it. But I love it.

According to the magazine, in addition to eating the birthday cake, George will be hosting a birthday party on Saturday at the Windsor mansion where the Welsh family lives, with a "close" group of school friends. This is more low-key than in previous years, when the family of five spent George's birthday on the private Caribbean island of Mustique, a favorite of the late Princess Margaret during her lifetime.
