Haley Bieber told fans to stop "leaving nasty or rude comments".

Cyberbullying, like real-life bullying, has never been and will never be cool.

The supermodel sent an important message to her fans on Instagram Stories about the nasty comments she is tempted to leave on others' social media posts. Bieber did not specify whose post she was referring to specifically, but it is widely assumed from the context that she was referring to Selena Gomez's post.

"If you are leaving nasty or rude comments on someone else's post instead of mine, I want you to know that I do not want that and will not support or condone hateful, mean-spirited, nasty comments. Doing so is not supporting me." If you are in it, you are part of a culture I don't want to be a part of."

Bieber concluded, "Be nice or don't say anything."

The model's message came shortly after Gomez announced on Instagram that she would be releasing new music, and the comments section received a shockingly large number of hurtful responses to the news, many of which referenced Gomez's previous relationships with Haley and Justin Bieber

This was the first time that the news had been published in the United States.

This followed months of Selena Gomez and Haley Bieber fans confronting the two women with rumors of a feud, including accusations against the supermodel that she was making fun of the singer on social media.

In March, Gomez posted the following message on her Instagram Stories, asking fans to put a stop to it all:

"Haley Bieber contacted me and let me know that she has received death threats and such hateful negative words. She let me know that she was receiving them.

"This is not something I stand for. No one should have to go through the hate and bullying that I have.

"I have always advocated for kindness and I really wish this would stop."

Bieber is also vocal about how much all of this has affected her.

In short, be kind when you can. It doesn't cost money.
