Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's royal work ethic was "squandered" by their parents, royal expert says

A royal commentator says Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's decision has "squandered" Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's chance to become full-time working royals, the Daily Express reports. [While the two princesses are working respectably outside the royal family and still have bright futures, Kinsey Scofield, host of the podcast "To Di for Daily," said that because of Andrew and Fergie, their futures remain forever stalled.

Andrew has been embroiled in scandal for years, and Scofield calls Ferguson a "cannon. He is making the royal family nervous". (She just started her own podcast, "Tea Talks," where she says she intends to "set the record straight.") ) "Whether she's telling the media that the queen's ghost is haunting Corgi or grabbing the microphone to record a new episode of her brand new podcast, there's no telling what she'll say or do next.

Andrew and Ferguson, who married in 1986 and divorced 10 years later, still live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. 'We are the happiest divorced couple in the world,' Ferguson told the Daily Mail in 2018. 'We divorced each other, we didn't divorce each other. My obligation is to him. I am very proud of him. I am on his side and will continue to be. The way we are is our fairy tale." Ferguson's comments exclude the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, but she continues to stand by his side through it.

Beatrice and Eugenie have been in the news recently: both attended the coronation of their uncle King Charles at Westminster Abbey on May 6 with their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, respectively. Eugenie gave birth to her second son Ernest on May 30, the same week Beatrice attended the royal Jordanian wedding on June 1.
