Don't worry, "Archetypes" fans - we don't think Meghan Markle has stopped podcasting.

Meghan Markle's podcast "Archetypes" may not have a season 2 with Spotify - she and Prince Harry are no longer working with Spotify, which signed a $20 million deal in 2020, but apparently this is the Meghan and podcasting's It doesn't appear to be the end of the road.

Meghan's management has revealed that Meghan plans to continue "developing content" for her fans and is working with "another platform," according to the Mirror WME (Meghan's new talent agency) released a statement to the Wall Street Journal, saying, "The production team at 'Archetypes' is proud of the podcasts we have produced for Spotify. Megan continues to develop further content for the 'Archetypes' audience on other platforms."

"Archetypes" is a 12-episode series exclusive to Spotify, with the first episode released last August. The show aims to "investigate, dissect, and overturn labels that attempt to hold women back," and has featured guests such as Serena Williams and Mariah Carey. Prior to the release of the podcast, Meghan said she was "excited" to be herself on the show, and added, "Everyone should expect the real me on this show. The me that you probably never knew I was. Certainly, not everything has been through the lens of the media these past few years."[5

Public relations expert Anna-Grace Dunoyer told the Daily Express, "It is worth noting that the couple's representatives have mentioned the development of further content for the 'Archetypes' audience on other platforms."

After signing a $20 million deal with Spotify in 2020, from then until now, Harry and Meghan have only released 12 episodes of "Archetypes" and a holiday special. That means each episode is worth more than $1.5 million each. (It is unclear if Harry and Meghan have been paid in full.) Viewed within the larger framework of their multiple commercial endeavors, including a substantial deal with Netflix and Harry's deal with Penguin Books, this recent development seems more like a bump in the road than a major setback." Dunoyer says.

Possible Next Steps' The Daily Express reports that in a possible relaunch of her blog "The Tig," an audio division may be on the table: Princess Meghan, Kourtney Kardashian and Push, Gwyneth Paltrow's "Goop," and I think she will build her own community and brand. So "The Tig" will probably have an audio division where she can produce and play "Archetypes" and it will be available on all platforms, not just Spotify."
