Meghan Markle's next career: high-paying influencer?

With her Spotify deal coming to an end, the possible revival of her blog "The Tig," plus a Netflix deal and book rumors, Meghan Markle's workload is jam-packed, and with WME's Ari Emanuel as her agent, she'll be even busier, but we wonder, Is there a future for her career as an influencer?

Apparently, Meghan could not only become an influencer, but also one of the highest paid influencers in the world, with £250,000 per post (!) The Sun reports that he will be paid £250,000 per post. No doubt Emmanuel and the WME team will broker a deal of that level.

"A lot of people are surprised she signed with a talent agency," says marketing expert David Olusegun, co-founder of Creative Control Ventures. 'She's the first royalty to sign with them. But they are going to rebuild her brand. But they intend to rebuild her brand. It's clear that people aren't as interested in Spotify as they used to be after the Spotify deal fell through, and WME wants to reposition her with a luxury brand like Dior." (Rumors of a partnership between Sussex and Dior have been rife of late, but nothing has been confirmed.)

Whatever brand Meghan partners with, "I think she's going to be very particular in terms of what she posts," he says. 'She's not going to fill up her feed like other influencers do. She's not going to fill up her feed like other influencers. And it won't be obvious. She will post elegantly and deliberately to match whatever environment she is in."

Andy Barr, public relations expert and CEO of 10 Yetis, says, "CM will be one of the most tightly guarded secrets in endorsement history. With the world-renowned WME Talent Agency rumored to be handling negotiations, the Sussexes will be looking around for deals like Beyonce's last $20 million deal with Adidas and will be expecting an offer of equal or better."

Royal family expert Richard Fitzwilliams says that the couple will need to quickly recover from the breakup of the Spotify deal (and the rumored subsequent breakup of the Netflix deal). The couple faces a dilemma that is both daunting and potentially ruinous, he says, "but they can still come out on top." 'If they lose Spotify and Netflix and announce nothing else, that would really be considered extremely serious.'
