Read MoreToday is Prince William's 41st birthday, and body language experts say his confidence has soared over the years and he is now at the "pinnacle" of confidence.
The future king appears to have shed the anxious gestures he once shared with his brother Prince Harry, body language expert Darren Stanton told the Mirror: "In recent years he has become increasingly statesmanlike. 'You don't see the lack of confidence and watery fish gestures that he used to show. He is a completely different person than he was when he first appeared in public as a young man."
Stanton continued on behalf of Betfair Casino. 'Some of the gestures we associate with William are what we call pacifier gestures. Prince Charles' gesture of putting his hand inside his jacket was a common one. Historical footage of Prince William and Prince Harry shows that Prince William inherited this gesture from his father. William often made this gesture when appearing in public or standing on the balcony with the Queen."
Another gesture William would take for self-comfort, "William would also play with his cufflinks as a child," Stanton said.
"Again, this is a gesture of self-comfort, designed to soothe himself when he was in a stressful situation or when he felt he wasn't in complete control. Over the years, he has been placed in social situations that would probably make anyone feel a little anxious. But now we don't see much of that kind of gesture."William also sometimes uses a fake smile to hide his nervousness, Stanton says. In Prince William's case, or in the case of people in general, the fakest emotion is the smile."
[11 We smile not only when we are genuinely happy, but also when we are anxious or not feeling well. The way we deny our fake smiles is what I call the crow's footprints next to our eyes. It was often seen on Prince Charles and King William."
One of the reasons for his confidence is his marriage to Princess Kate." In terms of his development as a person, Kate has played a major role. He says, "When we met, neither of us were very confident people. But they both grew over the years."
As for Kate, "she certainly played a huge role in his development as a person, as a future monarch, and as far as his level of confidence in the world," says Stanton. 'She also grew a lot over the years, even more so than William. At first she was introverted and didn't want to get involved, but now she has become an integral part of the royal family. The two are now considered the highest-ranking members of the active royal family. I am convinced that Kate's growing confidence has helped William to feel more secure."
