Kylie Jenner refutes facial "plastic surgery" allegations.

Kylie Jenner denied that she had undergone massive plastic surgery, explaining that people often have such "misconceptions" about her.

"I think the big misconception about me is that I have a lot of facial surgery and I'm an insecure person.

"Yeah, I loved plump lips and I wanted to have plump lips. I was the girl who performed for everyone. I was insecure about my lips, so I put in lip fillers. I don't regret it. But I always thought I was pretty."

These comments have generated much discussion among women. There are those who believe Jenner's comments and criticize the media for comparing her current appearance with that of her teenage years, pointing out that of course as one grows older (Jenner is 25), features change.

And there are those who believe that Jenner is understating how much plastic surgery she has had. While the women who criticize her for this (at least those who are not trolls) believe in individual choice to modify their faces as they wish, they also believe that Jenner, through her celebrity platform and through her beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics, has created a vulnerable points out that she is selling beauty ideals to vulnerable girls and women. If she is downplaying the work she has actually done, it could lead her audience to believe that they can look like her by using her products.

Some have taken issue with this in relation to the reality star's comments about the natural beauty of her children (she is the mother of daughter Stormi, 5, and son Ire, 1).

On her approach to beauty now that she is a mother, Jenner said, "Oh, it's changed so much. I love myself more. I see my traits in my daughter and my son, but my daughter is more like me. I can see my beauty in her. Beauty is always changing for me."

When asked what beauty advice she would give Stormi, she said, "It's perfect the way it is. Be confident, always be confident in yourself."

Jezebel editor-in-chief Laura Bassett shared her thoughts on Jenner's interview on Twitter.

"I don't care about Kylie's lip fillings or how much plastic surgery she has done. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want to their body. My problem is that she became the youngest "self-made" billionaire in history by lying about having plastic surgery," Bassett wrote. [and that the interviewer never holds her accountable for the fact that millions of teenagers have tried to be like her and have been lied to about what it takes to look like that." Her quote in this latest interview is bogus

" "When asked what beauty advice she would give her daughter Stormi, Kylie said, 'It's perfect the way it is. Be confident, always be confident in yourself.'

"Cmon now. be honest.

Jenner has denied having surgery in the past; in a 2019 interview with Paper magazine, the celebrity said, "People think I've gone completely under the knife and completely rebuilt my face, but that's completely false. I'm scared! I would never do that. They don't understand what good hair and makeup and things like fillers can really do."
