Queen Kate's red manicure is more important than you might imagine
If you are anything like me, you pay close attention to Princess Kate's beauty. If she had a light haircut to her hair, I would know it. If she changed her usual Bobbi Brown lipstick for something with a little more pop, I know it. So when the Princess of Wales showed up at an official Easter function with a ruby red manicure, I, along with the majority of royal style watchers, must have thought something. Not that crimson manicures are overtly wild, but they rarely make a big splash at official royal events. Well, until now.

'Now that the queen is gone, it opens the door to try more. Not that Princess Kate and Princess Meghan Markle have never worn dark shades of nail polish. But as Burchfield explains, this recent moment is more significant given that this bold shade appeared during a major event.

I absolutely love it, but ......"

Another user, clearly shocked by the deviation, says, "I GASPED AT THE RED NAILS CAUSE HOW." Can't wait to see what people have to say about this, as "fancy" manicures have been an issue for some in the past. This comment is in reference to Meghan Markle's official attendance at the 2018 Fashion Awards in London, where she wore dark nail polish.
Regardless of the reasoning behind the princess's latest nail look, for my part, I fully support spring nail experiments.
