Actor Drake Bell, best known for his starring role in Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh, was reported missing this week, but has been found alive.

The Daytona Beach Police Department initially posted the following on their Facebook page:

"MISSING

"Officers are looking for Jared Bell. [actor's full name is Jared Drake Bell]

"He should be traveling in a 2022 gray BMW and was last seen on 4/12/2023 before 9pm, possibly near Mainland High School.

They later updated their post as follows:

"**Update: 4/13/2023 1:26p.m.-At this time, law enforcement officials have been contacted and can confirm that Mr. Bell is safe."

The post also states that the vehicle was last seen in the area of Mainland High School on 4/12/2023.

After the mix-up, Bell tweeted, "I left my phone in the car and didn't get out overnight and now this?" with a laughing and crying emoji, implying that it was all a bizarre misunderstanding.

As reported by Us Weekly, the Nickelodeon star has had a concerning past few years: in 2021, he was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service for spreading child endangerment and matters harmful to youth.

At the time, Bell said, "I just want to say today that I accept this charge because my actions were wrong. I am sorry that some harm was done to the victim, but that was clearly not my intention. I take this matter very seriously and I want to apologize to her and to others who may have been affected by my actions."

Shortly thereafter, the actor was seen "sucking on balloons" on numerous occasions. He also got into a public altercation with former co-star Josh Peck after Peck did not invite him to her 2017 wedding.
