Meghan Markle reportedly 'upset' that her children were left out of coronation plans: insider

Meghan Markle is reportedly "upset" that her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were not included in the coronation. As far as we know, they were not invited, much less incorporated into the procession, etc.

While this may have had a significant impact on the Duchess of Sussex's decision to remain in California while Prince Harry attends the coronation, insiders believe that she probably did not intend to go.

"The fact is, the Duchess was never likely to attend the coronation," one royal source told the Mirror.

"The mood from California is one of considerable relief that the situation has been resolved after so much speculation and uncertainty, with the feeling that she was put in an increasingly impossible position.

"It is one thing to attend the funeral of the late Queen out of respect for Her Majesty, and quite another to attend the beginning of a new reign."

One source understood why Meghan made such a decision. One source understood why Meghan made the decision she did."

"As a mother, she is probably doing the right thing for her young children.

Needless to say, the coronation will take place on May 6, Archie's fourth birthday.

Still, royal expert Jenny Bond previously praised the Sussexes' decision to attend, saying, "Now that we know Harry is coming, we are very happy that he is coming on perhaps the most important day in his father's life.

"I think this was always the best compromise, especially given Archie's fourth birthday, that he should come and Princess Meghan shouldn't come."
