Prince George's role in Prince Charles' coronation finally revealed

It wasn't easy to determine Prince George's role in the coronation of Charles III, but we finally know what the 9-year-old Prince George will do on his grandfather's big day.

Hello! reports that the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales will be one of the King's four Pages of Honor, along with Sir Oliver Cholmondeley, Nicholas Barclay, and Ralph Tremache, children of friends of the Royal Family.

According to the magazine, these pages are responsible for carrying the King's long train as he passes Westminster Abbey. The "Hello!" magazine also notes that George had previously served in a similar (albeit less conspicuous) role as a page boy at the wedding of relatives Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie.

This comes weeks after reports emerged that Prince William and Princess Kate were not thrilled about their young son's visible involvement in the coronation. Royal writer Tom Quinn previously told the Express, "I've heard from people I know that there's a bit of a debate going on about whether George should have a more formal role." 'Kate and William seem to be concerned that it might be too much of a burden on George.'

But royal aides now seem confident that George will do a great job in the role. One source told Express, "Although he is only nine years old, George is very mature and already has a deep understanding of the role of grandfather and father, as well as his future role."

Another source added, "The King is very keen to see his successors, his natural heirs, at the center of his coronation."

"It is a wonderful sign that the future is being charted by the King in giving him this task."

Yay George!
