Princess Kate May Not Have Tiara Moment at Coronation, Experts Claim

Princess Kate will attend the coronation of King Charles III as Princess of Wales and as a candidate for the next queen. Needless to say, she will be one of the most important figures there.

However, while essentially all women wore tiaras at Elizabeth II's coronation, one jewelry expert believes that Kate may not wear a tiara on May 6.

"Tiaras were worn by nearly all royal women, and many noble women, at the queen's coronation in 1953, but times have certainly changed in 70 years," Lauren Keena told People.

"While we certainly expect to see tiaras at the coronation, it is also possible that Prince Charles is following in the footsteps of European countries like the King of the Netherlands and setting a formal daytime dress code."

"That would mean that we would still see large jewelry like necklaces, brooches, and earrings, but no tiaras. If this is true, it is sad, but it may just be part of the "de-normalization" of the British royal world that has taken place over the past few decades."

My non-expert prediction is that Kate will wear the tiara twice since Charles became king.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Kate and Prince William's eldest son, Prince George, 9, will play an important role as one of the four chief attendants at his grandfather's coronation.
