Princess Catherine's walk around Windsor Castle with the Sussexes was "one of the hardest things I've ever done," new book claims

Another bombshell book on the royal family is out today. It's Our King, written by veteran royal correspondent Robert Jobson. If there is one person who best exemplifies the Royal Family's usual mantra of "Never complain, never explain," it would be the Princess of Wales. But, according to Jobson's book, Kate is not so sure about the walk at Windsor Castle two days after the late Majesty's death, that is, the unforgettable walk where Kate and Prince William suddenly joined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, because of the "bad feelings" between the two couples, "which has been He said it was "one of the hardest things we've ever had to do".

Our King was serialized in the Daily Mail, where we read that "Lady Catherine later admitted to a senior royal that the joint outing was one of the hardest things she had ever done because of the bad feelings between the two couples," Jobson wrote.

When it happened on Saturday, September 10, the two couples' joint walk was "said to have been William's idea to show solidarity," the Daily Mail reported. But according to Jobson's sources close to the royal family, it was "an illusion. [At least as of this writing, there seems to be no chance of a reconciliation; September 10 is, of course, followed by Harry and Meghan's eponymous Netflix documentary in December and, perhaps more damningly, Harry's memoir, Spare, in January. The deadline for announcing participation in King Charles' coronation was this past Monday, April 3, but no word yet on whether the Sussexes will attend the May 6 ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London.

By the way, our King doesn't stop there with juicy revelations. As the Daily Mail detailed, Prince Charles also revealed in 2016 that he was frustrated by Harry's "misbehavior" in issuing a statement acknowledging his relationship with Princess Meghan but demanding to be left alone with her, overshadowing Prince Charles' Gulf tour in the process; the late His Majesty the King had wondered about Harry and Meghan's public criticism of the monarchy and members of the royal family, describing their behavior as "pretty crazy," and that after Harry and Meghan's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Charles and William mutually decided that they could not risk being alone with Harry again and that they would no longer treat him as a trusted member of the family.

"Our King" was released on April 13.
