Royal Expert Claims Prince Harry's Sudden Visit to England Was "Unplanned" with King Charles

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, however, is not so pleased with Prince Harry's latest move.

The Duke of Sussex abruptly appeared in London's High Court on Monday to attend a four-day hearing in the case against the publishers of the Daily Mail: Sir Elton John, David Furnish, Sadie Frost, Elizabeth Hurley, and campaigner Doreen Lawrence. The group is suing the Associated Press for "abhorrent criminal conduct and gross invasion of privacy."

"The problem with this appearance is that it is a surprise appearance, and the Sussexes like surprises," Fitzwilliams told the Express. They are always unpredictable and no one expected this to happen."

"The Sussexes have always been a very unpredictable couple," Fitzwilliams told the Express.

"There is no doubt that Harry's name is on a very distinguished list, but equally it was an opportunity to appear in an area of privacy that the Sussexes feel very strongly about."

For Fitzwilliams, it is unlikely that Harry consulted his father before deciding to attend the hearing.

"Charles would have been in France and would be in Germany on Wednesday, so this was clearly not planned," the expert said.

"It is very difficult to see what he and the king would have to say to each other.

"The Crown Prince and Princess are also apparently on vacation with their children.

Of course, the publication of Harry's memoir, Spare, rocked the royal family. Commentators believe that the royal family has been particularly cautious in its interactions with the Sussex family for fear of further damaging revelations coming to light.

Fitzwilliams speculated as to why Harry chose to attend the hearing in person, concluding, "It is clear that this is a case where his name is with other big names that he thought it would be beneficial to attend." I see.
