Sarah Ferguson (aka Fergie) and singer Fergie had the most amazing conversation about the Black Eyed Peas' 2006 album.

When Black Eyed Peas vocalist Stacey Ann Ferguson decided to take the stage name Fergie, it took a lot to get everyone to realize that she wasn't talking about Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, but actually "Fergalicious" Fergie, It was confusing enough.

But when the pop star decided to call her 2006 album The Dutchess, it became even harder to tell the two apart. The album's name was, of course, an ironic reference to the Duchess, and the royal family didn't miss it.

The Duchess of Fergie is currently promoting her new novel, A Most Intriguing Lady, and appeared on BBC Radio 2 in the UK over the weekend for an interview with host Rylan Clark.

In a bit of a surprise, Clarke introduced his guest after playing a song by the Black Eyed Peas. This reminded the royal lady of the time she actually met her namesake back in the 2000s, and got her to reciprocate with a reference to the royal family in the album title.

"Fergie did me a big favor and raised a million dollars by singing for my charity," the royal told Clark (via OK!)

"You're kidding," the host fired back.

"Reader, she is not joking.

"I called her up and said, 'You shouldn't have called your album 'Dutchess. You're so naughty, you'll have to sing for your dinner,' and she said OK," the royal recalled.

"She came to Wall Street in New York and raised a million dollars.

Indeed, singer Fergie performed in the 2007 Cipriani Wall Street Concert Series to raise this money for the Sarah Ferguson Foundation.

This is not the first time Sarah Ferguson has spoken about meeting Stacy Ann.
