Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are apparently making a big request to confirm their attendance at the coronation.

[The Sussex couple's request to attend King Charles' coronation in six weeks is causing havoc.

Marie Claire recently reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to the coronation; according to The Sun, the couple has made new demands to confirm their attendance: first, they want their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to be invited as well (we reported recently that they have not been invited so far). We reported recently that they have not been invited so far). And they want all four members of the Sussex family to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the rest of the royal family after the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6. (Incidentally, Harry and Meghan attended last summer's Platinum Jubilee, but did not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Harry and Meghan stepped down from that duty in January 2020. In case you forgot)

"The royal court is trying to wrap up negotiations as quickly as possible. 'It could turn into a huge mess. It could end in a stalemate and not be attended to. But the palace is doing everything in its power to make sure that does not happen."

May 6 is also Archie's fourth birthday, and sources said, "They are hoping for some kind of nod to that, either at a lunch or a drinks reception. Just to say happy birthday."

The Daily Express reported that Harry and Meghan "are refusing invitations to the historic event until their request is accepted."

Will the Palace give in?
